So heres the update on how things are going for me at the moment.
In the end I didnt win the Janet Arnold Patterns of Fashion Award, but I was so privaledged to get through to the final, and the winner Emma Wilson deserved it! Well done Emma :)
On the plus side, I managed to visit my best friends in Vancouver, Canada.
I had a great time exploring the stunning landscape and almost conquered my fears of heights by climbing a few mountains and ski lifts. I had so much fun spending time with my friends again as I havent seen them in years! Hopefully ill be able to do it again soon.
Ive also been lucky enough to have an opportunity to make a wedding dress for someone, but the interesting aspect is that its an eco friendly wedding dress as the bride is having an eco wedding. It should be pretty interesting, and I love the challenge!
The final bit of good news is that Im back working at Welsh National Opera, this time finishing off La Boheme, and working on Cosi Van Tutti & Jephtha. Yet more beautifully designed shows with great costumes.
Lets hope they go alright...
